Dalein firm and adamant:If the FNDC wants to go it alone ...’ ’

The Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG) and the National Alliance for Democracy and Alternation (ANAD) called for a street demonstration on Wednesday, November 25.  The FNDC, an entity bringing together opposition political parties and civil society organizations, does not intend to join this protest movement.

Questioned on the position of the anti third term movement led by Abdourahamane Sanoh, Cellou Dalein Diallo suggested that "the FNDC is free.  We are demonstrating against the dictatorship, the third term and the confiscation of our victory.  If the FNDC wishes to go it alone, we have no objection.  Every citizen, every leader of an association or political party is free to work with whomever he wants ".

Asked whether this situation is not likely to weaken opponents of the third term, the former prime minister stressed that "the unity of the opposition remains fragile.  As part of the ANAD, I am with about 40 political parties.  We also have the support of Me Abdoul Kabèlè Camara and Abé Sylla who recognize that we have won the presidential election of October 18 ’’.

“We do not feel isolated especially because of the confidence that the Guineans expressed especially during the election on October 18.  We are always ready to cooperate with political parties that claim to be in opposition.  But it's up to everyone to choose their partners, ’’ said Alpha Condé’s main challenger on Eye of Lynx.
