Gambia to Host ‘Tabital Pulaaku’ International Assembly as 33 Countries Prepare to Converge

The Gambia is set to host the Tabital Pulaaku International (TPI) General Assembly from September 26 to 27, bringing together representatives from more than 33 countries across Africa, Europe and the Americas for a major gathering focused on unity, dialogue, cultural exchange and the promotion of Fulani cultural heritage.
The General Assembly will be held at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in Banjul, according to the Gambia Chapter of Tabital Pulaaku International, which briefed the media on Thursday ahead of the international gathering.
Speaking at the press conference, Kebba Dem, Deputy Secretary General of ‘Tabital Pulaaku’ The Gambia, said The Gambia’s selection as host was a reflection of the country’s unity, hard work and international confidence in its leadership.
“We are lucky as Gambians. The Gambia is being chosen not because of its big size or whatsoever.
It is because of the unity, because of the hard work that we are doing here, and because of the trust people have in the President of the Republic of The Gambia,” Dem said.
He said the gathering would demonstrate the strength of the Fulani community globally when people from different countries come together in one place.
“When all of them come together and say Gambia, then Gambia, let us say Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen.
It is something that we possess, something that we are blessed with by Almighty Allah and the support we have from our leadership,” he said.
The assembly is expected to provide a platform for participants to discuss issues affecting the community while strengthening cultural ties and promoting unity across borders.
Momodou M. S Jallow, Vice President of the Association, also highlighted the critical role of the media in ensuring the success of the event, urging journalists and media houses to work closely with TPI throughout the programme.
“We are saying thank you very much to the media people. Me alone in my corner, the information will not go far.
But with the media people who are specialised, when we call them, I think we have done the right thing,” he said.
Jallow noted that Kairaba Beach Hotel was selected because of its accessibility, proximity and conducive environment.
They also assured that arrangements would be made for participants unable to enter the main hall to follow proceedings from an alternative viewing area.
“We will be engaging the media extensively from now until the congress, through it and to the end. Let us work together as a team, Inshallah,” he added.

The organisers said delegates are expected to begin arriving on September 25 ahead of the September 26–27 General Assembly.
