FUDECO NASARAWA STATE GRADUATES PIONEER BATCH OF WOMEN ON SKILLS ACQUISITION.

The colourful graduation ceremony of the first batch of 34 proud Fulbe women trained by our Nasarawa State Women's Leader Hajja Hauwa Abdullahi Ardo on the production of 27 types of body care products, perfumes and detergents. The event took place on the 7th Feb. 2021, at the FUDECO LGA Secretariat/Women's Leader's office in Karu. The highly successful ceremony comprised handing over of certificates to the graduants, speeches, exhibition of Fulbe traditional crafts, fundraising and feasting with family and friends. It was decided not to make the event too big considering that it the first one of its kind and for logistical reasons. Apologies to anyone who felt they should have been invited.

The skills acquired will help the women on income generation, self reliance and helping their families. The training which is part of our wider women empowerment programme will continue across the state. 

The ceremony was organised and presided over by FUDECO National Secretary General Barrister Musa Isa Arrifi and Nasarawa State Chairman Alh. Mohammadu Umaru Mossolli and supported by Ardo Lawal Dono,  Chief Ardo of Nasarawa State and Member of FUDECO National Advisory Council, Karu LGA chapter Chairman Nura Sani Magaji and Karu LGA Secretary Barrister U.A. Aliyu.

Special guests at the occasion included: Dr. Nasiru Sani Gwarzo, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Trade and Industry, Hon.Yusuf Ardo Wakili of Karu,  Alhaji Mohammed Hussain Nasarawa State Chairman of  Miyetti Allah MACBAN, Alhaji Usman Mohammed MD Mai Wurno Bureau de Change Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, Alhaji Ibrahim Juli the founder of Rugan Juli Maraba Karu LGA and  Alhaji Umar Talle of Sahad Stores Abuja.

The graduants speaking in Fulfulde through two of  their representatives expressed their joy and appreciation to Hajja Hauwa Ardo and FUDECO for such a too good to be true opportunity of a life time which they pledged to utilise to the maximum and pass on. Other speakers pledged support for the programme with over N140,000. 

Presently another batch is undergoing training in Akwanga led by our Deputy Women's Leader, Hajja Kulu Ibrahim. The training is free of charge subject tocompletion of our official registration form obtained from the trainers.
