The newly elected national president Gan Allah Fulani association of Nigeria (Gafdan) Dr Ibrahim abdullahi has expressed worries over the number of Fulani's killed in the country due to collapse of insecurity across the nation.
Adding that the general insecurity challenges bedevilling peace stability in the country has forced large number of fulanis into migration and the searched for greener pastures.
The newly elected president make the comments during the inauguration of new members of the association from different part of the country which toke place in kaduna state
He said many cattles bearers were killed innocently , houses were burned down completely and many were still displaced.
According to him, cattle breeders are in a critical situation in the country, and hence the need to inform the general public of the critical situation they find themselves as
The new leader vow to obey the constitution, Rules, and regulations of the association while encouraging Fulani youths and women to be law-abiding citizens anywhere they find themselves served.
The hand -over ceremony which took place in the presence of many Fulani leaders from various states witnessed the presence of women leaders, religious leaders, and Ardos
Ibrahim said their association aims to work for the unity of fulbe across the country and diaspora
Adding also that is to educate and Sensitizes fulbe on the need to embrace education both Islamic and western
He ended by saying the association is to embark on mediation and peace-building efforts to create peace and understanding between farmers and pastoralists among others
