Why Emmanuel Macron did not congratulate Alpha Condé on his re-election

On November 30, Emmanuel Macron sent a letter to Alpha Condé, in which he sent him his “wishes for success” but without congratulating him on his re-election, on October 18, for a third term.
In his letter, dated November 30, Emmanuel Macron mentions in particular the challenges that his counterpart Alpha Condé faces, including that of "reconciliation between all Guineans after the violence, divisions and questions that have punctuated these elections". "Your ability to respond to them in a spirit of dialogue, consensus and with respect for the rule of law will be essential," added the French president.
