UFDG and its allies call for protests on the eve and day of Alpha Condé's investiture
The inauguration ceremony of President Alpha Condé, re-elected for a third term, is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15 in Conakry. The Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG) and the National Alliance for Democratic Alternation (ANAD) call on Guineans to demonstrate on the eve and on the day of the official installation of the Head of State in office.
In a statement, the UFDG and ANAD insist that the results of the October 18, 2020 presidential election ballot won Cellou Dalein DIallo.
Dalein's party and its allies consider that the inauguration ceremony scheduled for December 15, 2020 consecrates `` the imposture as evidenced by the lack of fervor of the Guineans, but also the lack of interest in the international community due to the hold -electoral up ''.
Believing that the power of the people is "more powerful than those who exercise power", they invite the Guineans to protest against this "fictitious" investiture through the demonstrations that erupted on December 14 and 15, 2020 in Greater Conakry ".
