‘Twitter President’, El-Rufai’s Son Mocks Kingsley Moghalu

Bashir, a son of the Kaduna State governor, Nasir Elrufai has taken to his Twitter account to throw jabs at Peter Obi, and Kingsley Moghalu.

Peter Obi is a Nigerian politician and businessman, who was the vice-presidential candidate in the 2019 Nigerian general election under the Peoples Democratic Party while Kingsley Moghalu is a Nigerian political economist and a presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 election.

The son of the Kaduna State governor made a sarcastic comment against the presidential ambitions of the former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi and former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Moghalu.

The governor’s son who is known for his controversial comments on Twitter made a tweet which insinuated that Peter Obi, cannot win the presidential race, while Moghalu is Nigeria’s “Twitter Branch” President.

“Peter Obi cannot not win. Kingsley Moghalu is the undisputed President of Nigeria (Twitter Branch), please,” read his tweet.

Obi, the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 election had recently tweeted that he is willing to run for President if his party, the PDP zones the ticket to the South, and he has been trending on Twitter since then.

“Yes, I will step into the field to contest for the opportunity to serve this great country as President if my party, the PDP, zones the ticket to the south. But if it is thrown open, Nigerians will also hear from me,” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, February 1,” he said.

Moghalu, on the other hand, was the presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in 2019 and lost to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of APC. Moghalu said he will recontest the presidential election in 2023.
