Presidential 2020: Abé Sylla ensures that Dalein has won and rejects the results proclaimed by the Constitutional Court
The list of presidential candidates not recognizing the final results announced last Saturday by the Constitutional Court continues to grow. After Cellou Dalein Diallo, Abdoul Kabèlè Camara, it is the turn of the leader of the New Generation for the Republic (NGR) to reject the figures giving Alpha Condé the winner.
Ibrahima Abé Sylla says the UFDG candidate is the winner of the October 18 presidential election.
‘’ I had a few thousand who watched the ballot box as well as Cellou Dalein Diallo. There was an understanding among all opposition parties to share information. What I saw clearly showed that he was a winner. It’s in this sense that I said he has the highest score, ”he told Espace FM radio's Big Mouths.
When asked why he said called for a transition, Abé Sylla replied: `` I was in competition with him (Dalein, Editor's note), that's why, I said that if there has problems tomorrow, I may be the alternative. And even Damaro Camara responded to that in the National Assembly. I told him not to speak because we were reviewing the government's operating budget. I told him to wait until the results were proclaimed by the Constitutional Court ".
The unsuccessful NGR presidential candidate announces that he does not recognize the results proclaimed by the Constitutional Court. "They do not reflect the truth of the ballot at all," he said, adding that "we remain mobilized for the future. The fight for alternation is far from over.
“We don't recognize tailor-made results. We call on the Constitutional Court to reconsider its decision and go through the recount, ’’ concludes Mr Sylla.
