Gunmen kill DSS officer after payment of N25m ransom in Katsina
Gunmen suspected to be fulani bandits have reportedly killed a DSS officer simply identified as Sadiq Abdullahi Bindawa.
Sources confirmed to Katsina Post that until his Death, he was a personal of DSS working at the HQ in Abuja.
Kidnappers stormed his home in Katsina town hours after he entered his house from Abuja where came from, and whisked him away on Saturday
The bandits demanded for N25m which was raised by the colleagues of the deceased.
The DSS operatives thereafter planned and ambushed the the bandits at the point of collecting ransom which led to exchange of fire with the bandits and the killing of some bandits.
Sources also confirmed to Katsina Post that the few bandits that escaped went back and shot Late Sadiq dead and threw his body in the bush
He was buried this morning according to Islamic rights.
