Dalein rejects the results proclaimed by the Constitutional Court:I won this election ... ''
In his very first reaction following the confirmation by the Constitutional Court of Alpha Condé's victory in the presidential election, Cellou Dalein Diallo suggested that the judges who sit on this Court missed a meeting. that they had with the story.
The leader of the UFDG, who claims victory in the presidential election of October 18, assures us that `` as we all expected, the Constitutional Court miserably missed the appointment it had with a decisive moment in history of our country: the proclamation of the real results of the presidential election of October 18 ''.
By declaring Alpha Condé the winner of the presidential election, Dalein believes that `` the members of this high court of our country preferred to serve a man and his ambition rather than respect their oath and defend the law and the truth of the ballot box ''.
He recalls that his party and its allies, united in the National Alliance for Alternation and Democracy (ANAD), have worked to bring together "irrefutable evidence of our victory in this election." As Republicans, we appealed to the Constitutional Court in the hope that a patriotic leap would have enabled its members to rule independently and speak the law. Unfortunately, that was not the case ".
The former prime minister notes that "the Constitutional Court confirmed the false results proclaimed by the CENI. For him, "to accept this decision is to be complicit in the assassination of democracy and the rule of law in our country. To accept this decision is to admit that power in our country can only be obtained through cunning and force and not at the ballot box. To accept this decision is to give up our belief that a transparent, fair and equitable process is the best way to come to power ".
This is why, he announces in the wake, `` the UFDG and the ANAD, deeply attached to respect for the rules and principles of democracy and the rule of law, categorically reject the false results of the 'presidential election of October 18 proclaimed by the CENI and validated by the Constitutional Court' '.
To his compatriots, he indicates: '' I won this election thanks to your confidence and I invite you to defend your votes by all legal means '' before specifying '' this appeal is also addressed to all Guinean women in love justice and democracy, especially those opposed to the third term. ''
