CNN's Lie of a Deadly Massacre

CNN's Lie of a Deadly Massacre

By Bucky Hassan

Sometimes Western Media and agents of chaos want to drive your nation into war and civil unrest.

This mealy-mouthed walkback from CNN is absolute crap. Their tweet of Oct 23rd clearly says 38 protestors were killed when the Military opened fire on them.

That was a blatant lie. There is absolutely no credible evidence of that. Now CNN grudgingly realise they lied.

Some of us said there was no evidence of this. We were told CNN were all knowing and all wise, and we were called 'insensitive', 'uncaring', 'evil', and many curses were heaped upon our heads.

Now the very same CNN is stating that 'Ehn, the 38 protestors were killed across the country over the 2 weeks of the protests.' But that is not what their original tweet said.

Maybe they'll soon look to regain their journalistic integrity and mention that about 2 dozen policemen and some soldiers were also killed over that period. Maybe they'll wring their hands over the horror of the policemen who were murdered, roasted and eaten by a crazed crowd.

As for their lie that the President did not address the 'carnage' in his speech? How could he address what there is still no evidence of?

President Buhari rightly addressed the death toll across the nation, re protestors killed, police killed, soldiers killed and hoodlums killed.

We want the truth of what happened in Lekki to come forth. We accept that at least 2 people at the Lekki protest later died in hospital from blunt force trauma injuries likely caused by the rampage as people ran.

There is still no evidence offered by anyone that soldiers shot directly at the protestors with live ammunition.

All the evidence tendered thus far, with all the videos flying up and down, appear to back the Military's statement that they fired only blank ammunition in the air, while having live ammunition in their possession but not firing it.

However, CNN, more than anyone or any organisation, helped perpetrate the lie of a deadly massacre with their tweet of Oct 23rd.

Slanted stories. Careless reporting. So-called investigative journalism that relied solely upon videos made by people with agendas, and unreliable eye-witness reports.

CNN's so-called investigation is so shoddy that they would not dare pass it off on any other country but an African one.

We want the truth of Lekki so we can learn from the mistakes made going forward. And the families of any real victims can get justice.

Western media should stop trying to fan flames of war in our nation with shoddy biased slanted reporting. ~ Bucky 2020
