We're Pleading With Northern Governors To Re-establish Our Grazing Reserves" - Miyyeti Allah.

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural organization has sent an appeal to Northern State Governors not to hide to the anti grazing law which is out to disabilise their business.

Speaking during the National Fulbe conference, hosted in Yola on Monday, the organization National President, Alhaji Dr Abdullahi Bello Bodejo urged Northern states Governors not to follow the footsteps of Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

He described Gov Ortom anti grazing laws as discriminatory.

I will advise the Governor's "not to toe the path of Ortom." He said.

I urge Ortom to repeal his anti-grazing legislation and restore peace to the state, as it is discriminatory and detrimental to Fulani people.

“We want our grazing reserves, not Ortom's anti-grazing legislation,” says the group.

He accused the Government of Benue State of enacting a law that would sent out the Fulani cattle herders to leave the state.

"Ortom undoubtedly enacted anti-grazing legislation in order to drive Fulani out of Benue state, despite the fact that Tiv and Fulani coexist." he stressed.

He went on to say that Governor Ortom should not think that he will rule the state forever. A little while he will be gone while the Fulani continue their usual business with Tiv people.

”In two years, Ortom will be referred to as former Governor, and Fulani will continue doing business with good Tiv people,” he said.
