South East MACBAN Congratulates Ngelzerma-Led New Executives
Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria(MACBAN), south east zone, has congratulated the newly elected Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma led Executive Council of the group.
In a statement issued on Thursday, chairman of MACBAN South East, Alhaji Gidao Siddiki, promised to work with him closely.
Alhaji Gidao Siddiki also expressed confidence in the new leadership and urged members to give unalloyed support to the new executives.
He pledged the zone’s total loyalty to Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma led MACBAN executives.
The statement reads: “It is Allah who gives power, authority and influence to whom he chooses. I therefore dutifully enjoin all our members who defer to me on MACBAN matters, and indeed all members of MACBAN, to lend total support to our new EXCO in their effort to reinvent the dastardly maligned and scandalized image of herders and the Fulani in general.
“I heartily wish to thank the Chairman Board of Trustees of MACBAN, our Patron, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar (CFR), the Sultan of Sokoto, for his highly esteemed fatherly counsel, but for which we would have been done in by all the forces in vicious conspiracy to demonize us as a trade group and as a people. I appreciate His Eminence, other members of Board of Trustees of MACBAN, other chieftains of MACBAN and the entire leadership of MACBAN who have toiled in their different capacities to ensure our survival, particularly at this most trying time of our country, Nigeria. I thank God for allowing us this new phase, this new opportunity to clean up our battered image and advance our business across the length and breadth of Nigeria.
“I nurse no doubt whatsoever that the new EXCO will leverage on the vast experience of our National President, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzarma, and the commitment of its members in driving the heart desires of our members which include: freedom to ply our legitimate trade of cattle breeding and sales across the country, protection from organized attacks on our cattle and people by criminal gangs and malicious ethnic jingoists, improved relationship with the government in the area of access to funding, enlightenment and advancing modern and more profitable ways of doing our business. I am confident that the new EXCO will expand our reach to influential, wealthy and knowledgeable persons whose interest in our operations will definitely enhance our vision.
“I wish to appreciate all those have been in close fellowship with me in service to MACBAN. The challenge of the moment is naturally a clarion call for all of us in MACBAN to close ranks and genuinely seek our collective good.
Again I pledge my unflinching commitment to the good of MACBAN, just as I declare my unalloyed support for the new Executive Council in their charge to offer dedicated service to our people. May the Peace that Allah gives dwell with us, and may Allah give us the wisdom, protection and progress we seek”
