Shehu Sani: Namadi Sambo’s Phone Stolen At Book Launch In Abuja

Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, who disclosed this in a tweet on Thursday, said the incident happened at the  launch of “Chronicles Of The Rainbow”, a biography of late Governor Solomon Lar.

He said the event had high security, but someone broke through the “security line” to steal the phone.

“It’s incredible that someone can breach the tight security line and steal the phone of the former VP Sambo at the ongoing late Governor Solomon Lar Book launch in Abuja,” he tweeted.

Sambo was Vice President of Nigeria from 19 May 2010 to 29 May 2015. He served as Governor of Kaduna State from 2007 to 2010.

Meanwhile, while speaking with journalists after the launch, Lar’s daughter who is a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Beni Lar, said, “I feel very happy that my dad is being celebrated. I feel very honoured to say that after many years of his service to Nigeria he died without having his own house in Abuja,he just had just a small house in Jos that’s all he owned. He served people with everything he had and am so glad to know that everyone in this country appreciates his contributions.

“He worked with people of different religion tribe he lived to promote life’s and property building lives and building society  making them strong and great giving their self empowerment to be able to rule and govern their lifes. What made him stand out was his policy of inclusiveness and that was why he was called the emancipator, he wanted everyone to be included in governance and that paid off because every single voice and every community had a voice during his time.”
