Nigeria Will Be The Safest Country To Live In If I Become President In 2023 – Yahaya Bello
LAGOS – Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello on Wednesday said he will replicate all his achievements in his state at the national level if he becomes the president in 2023.
Speaking on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ monitored by DAILY INDEPENDENT, the governor who identified security as the number one agenda of any country said he will make Nigeria the safest country just as Kogi state is the safest state in the country under his leadership.
He insisted that Nigerians are calling on him to run for the office of president in 2023 as to replicate all he has done in Kogi state across the country.
“Nigerians are entitled to their opinion and all of that are being put out there, I, our leader, father Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice-President are eminently qualified for the presidency in 2023. When the time comes, we are going to speak.
“But like I said, Nigerians are calling on me of course because of my performance in Kogi state. Kogi state was largely divided against itself before I came on board. Decay in infrastructure. Insecurity and a lot of troubles. Today, the reverse is the case.
“If what we have done in Kogi state alone by uniting the people, by fighting insecurity headlong and making Kogi states the safest state in Nigeria today. By ensuring that there is equity, fairness and justice in Kogi state.
“If that is required and they are asking me to come and replicate it at the national level. I will be glad to listen to their demands,” he said.
