Lawan, Saraki, Others To Speak At Book Presentation On Economy And Restructuring
Senate President Ahmad Lawan and his predecessors, Bukola Saraki and David Mark are among the dignitaries expected to speak at a book presentation on Economy and Restructuring.
Organised by National Pilot Newspaper, the book presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, 14th April 2021 at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos.
Themed, “Roundtable Discussion On Economy And Restructuring In Nigeria”, the topic has dominated the media space and national discourse in recent times.
The event has since received massive publicity in print, broadcast and online media across the country and acknowledgements from top diplomatic missions in the country including US, UK, Germany, France, China, Canada and Germany among others.
Other prominent personalities from the private and public sectors expected to grace the historic event are the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who will be the Guest Speaker.
The Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, will be lead other governors including Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to the grand event.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be the Chief Host of the event which will also have other invitees like the Ministers of Works and Housing, and Transportation, Babatunde Fashola and Rotimi Amaechi respectively in attendance.
Former governors Gbenga Daniel, Ibikunle Amosun and Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State will also be present at the event.
The traditional institution will be represented by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari both of who will attend as Royal Fathers of the Day in addition to Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, and Chief Olabode George.
According to the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of National Pilot, Ilorin, Alhaji Billy Adedamola, prominent Nigerian leaders of thought, policy makers and major stakeholders who have been invited will converge at venue to answer questions on “What is the way out of the perennial economic crisis that is stifling the nation’s growth and development and how do we resolve the issue of restructuring that is fuelling ethnic tension and threatening national breakup.
“It is coming in the absence of such formal intervention in the past and treats exhaustively, the twin issues of economy and restructuring offering a way forward”, Alhaji Adedamola submitted.
