Have you ever wondered who has been stealing data from your android phone?

 Each time I subscribe to a  data plan irrespective of network, I somehow feel shortchanged. Many others feel that way also. Well? It is because we use relatively cheaper well-packaged Made in China phones that have factory settings with preinstalled Malware. Each time by your own volition download an App from Google Play Store for instance, somebody receives a royalty somewhere. However with a Malware your knowledge and permission is never sought. You just see pop ads and Apps and other sites on your screen that come and go indiscriminately. Meanwhile, you are paying a hidden cost gradually. 

This type of strategic scam is not new. Fela in his “ITT” album put it in another context; “Many foreign companies dey Africa carry all our money go” 
Fela went on to croon; “Dem go write big English for newspaper, dabaru we Africans” Except this time around it is with low-cost, very attractive and appealing devices, not “big English” No wonder they are called Smartphones!

 One thing is obvious though, the theft is as Fela puts it; “Like rat they do them go do from
Corner corner, pass-ee pass-ee
Under under, pass-ee pass-ee
Inside inside, pass-ee pass-ee”

There is nothing like a free lunch. China’s phones are actually more expensive than Samsung, Apple and other Big Boy brands; “Cunny man die, cunny man bury am”
