Ghana:Cattle herdsmen and crop farmers in and around Yilo Krobo district and the leadership of Tabital pulaaku international Ghana chapter had a fruitful meeting yesterday that has brought calm and peace between them.

Recently there were couple of misunderstanding between the crop farmers and cattle herdsmen that lead to the killing of over 10 cows.

The angry farmers complained bitterly on how cattles have been destroying their farms at night especially without seen the owners of the cattles.

TPI General Secretary Yakubu Musah Barry myself and other members of TPI were part of the meeting including the National first vice chairman of Ghana mango farmers association Mr Edward Amanor. At the end of the meeting peace and calm was restored between the crop farmers and cattle herdsmen.

Another meeting will be coming on soon to find a long term solution to the problems. But for now no cattle movement at night again in and around Yilo Krobo district also when crop farms are destroyed without finding the real owners of the cattles which mostly happens at night the cattle owners

will contribute and pay for the farm, also when cattles are shot in the bush the crop farmers will have to contribute and pay for the cattles which both parties have agreed on.
