Bouna Sarr breaks the silence: "Playing in Senegal is the best decision of my career and..."
Long coveted by the Guinean and Senegalese national teams, the left winger took all his time hoping for a selection for the France team before finally answering the call of the Senegalese federation. The former Olympique de Marseille player who now plays for Bayern Munich has just won the CAN-2021 African Cup of Nations with the Téranga Lions for his first appearance in the continent's major competition. And apparently, Bouna Sarr does not regret having made the choice to play the Lions of Senegal at the expense of Guinea.
“I am really very happy, it is a great source of pride for me, my family, my loved ones. Playing in Senegal is the best decision of my career,” said Bouna Sarr, who also stresses that it is a source of great pride for his family and loved ones.
Back in Senegal and welcomed as heroes on Monday in the streets of Dakar with the African Cup of Nations trophy, Bouna Sarr and his teammates were also decorated by the President of Senegal.
