2023: I have 4-point agenda for Kano if elected – Atiku
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, revealed that he has four-point agenda for Kano State to be executed when he becomes president of the country.
Mr Abubakar disclosed this while addressing a mammoth crowd at the Sani Abacha Stadium, the venue of his campaign rally on Thursday.
DAILY NIGERIAN correspondent observed that when Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto was called to the podium to deliver his speech, the crowd started shouting in unison “a bude border”, meaning reopen border.
Mr Tambuwal, however, said they would hear from the horse’s mouth.
Delivering his speech, the former Vice President asked the crowd “do you need security, agriculture, commerce and reopening of the borders?”,
The crowd answered in affirmative.
Mr Abubakar then said he would present his four-point agenda to the people of Kano State.
“I, therefore, urge you to vote for PDP from top to bottom. Only PDP can guarantee this four-point agenda for you,” he said.
He added if elected as president in the February 25 election, he would bring about an agricultural boost and tackle poverty in the state.
The PDP presidential candidate noted that the lost glory of business in Kano would be recovered, adding that he would also revive the welfare of the people.
In his remarks, the Senator representing Kano Central and former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, said Mr Abubakar is the right candidate for the presidential seat.
He appealed to Nigerians to cast their votes for PDP from top to bottom to improve the well-being of the general population.
