Several close associates of Cellou Dalein Diallo are being prosecuted following the post-election violence that has erupted across Guinea.  UFDG vice-president Chérif Bah was placed under committal order at the Maison centrale de Coronthie last Friday.

His wife Hadja Maimouna Bah and number 2 of the national women's committee, assures us nothing will distract the UFDG from the essential.  She says she is convinced that those close to Cellou Dalein Diallo who have trouble with the law, do not blame themselves.

“We take the people of Guinea and the international community as witnesses to the injustices that are being committed by this fascist regime of Alpha Condé.  However hatred, jealousy or cynicism of its detractors, they will never succeed in proving the guilt of Mr. Ibrahima Chérif Bah and his colleagues, "she said.

"Instead of the real criminals who killed coldly and with bare faces, hundreds of Guineans or even white-collar bandits who plunder our resources in the open;  these fascists are attacking the greatest symbols and personalities of our country, ’’ Ms. Bah said.

This UFDG women's leader assures us that nothing will back down her camp in the fight for respect for the truth of the ballot box.

’The legitimacy of our fight is well established.  Its a question of life or death.  We remain more determined than ever for this noble fight.  We fight and would fight relentlessly for justice, democracy and alternation.  Let us fight more than ever to recover our victory for the greatest happiness of the people of Guinea.  No hindsight, ’’ says Hadja Maimouna Bah
