Eid al-Fitr: Katsina Emirate Prepares For Traditional Durbar
The Katsina Emirate Council under the leadership of the Emir, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulmunini Kabir Usman has began preparation for the conduct of traditional durbar this upcoming Eid al-fitr.

Katsina Post learnt that already a letter dated 26th of April, 2021 was sent to all the emirate’s district heads enquiring from them who will be able to attend the durbar and who will not.
The letter, signed by the Secretary of the council reads in part: “I am directed by the Emir of Katsina, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulmunini Kabir Usman to inform you that who ever is willing to participate in the upcoming durbar for Eidul fitr should write and inform the emirate council. Who ever will also not be able to participate should write and inform the council his reasons.
“All those concerned should note that they are to convey the above information to the council on or before 20th of Ramadan which is equivalent to 2nd of May, 2021.”
Katsina Post recalls that Katsina Emirate had not conducted the traditional durbar since 2019.
