Kidnapp Amodu Shehu in Ibarapa, Demand N7 Million Ransom
One Fulani man who is, by name, Amodu Shehu was kidnapped by some unknown Gunmen Friday evening at Abule Oba in Ibarapa North Local Government Oyo State.
The incident occurred at exactly 7pm on Friday at Abule Oba, immediately after the return of the man from his farm.
The development was made available to Ibarapa Parrot by the victim’s Father, Alhaji Umoru. He said, ”those gunmen started shooting sporadically and they kidnapped my son and took him away. All what happened was an impromptu to us. We have reported the case to DPO Ayete, Ibarapa North and one of Ayete Cheifs, Chief Odomofin. Some Police officers followed us to the village on Saturday morning and they saw bullets of those gunmen.
Speaking further on the incident, Alhaji Umoru said ” the kidnappers called yesterday and they demanded for 10 Million Naira as ramson before they can release my son. When they called back in the evening, it was reduced to #7 million.
Alhaji therefore called on Government to increase and monitor the security architectures of Ibarapa Land because killing and kidnappings are becoming worrisome.
As at the time of filing this report, the family of the kidnapped Fulani man has not paid the said ransom and their son has not yet been released.
