APC crisis: 10 states reconciled, says the caretaker committee
Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress, on Tuesday, announced that it had substantially succeeded in reconciling aggrieved party members in 10 states of the federation within the last three months.
It made this public after a meeting held at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
The party leaders also reviewed the implementation of its three-month action plan and expressed satisfaction with the progress so far made.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, said this in a document he made available to newsmen after the meeting in Abuja.
According to him, other issues looked at was the implementation status of the proposed party membership registration, update, revalidation, which the committee said was ongoing.
Nabena said, “The CECPC further directed affected parties to fully comply with the directive in the true spirit of peace and reconciliation.”
On ongoing reconciliation efforts, he said, “The CECPC has substantially reconciled various factions in some affected states, viz: Bauchi, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Zamfara, Ondo, Oyo states.” (NAN)
