2026 Hajj: NAHCON seeks extension as Saudi closes data capturing
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has advised intending pilgrims not to make any payment for the 2026 Hajj to individuals, groups or agencies, stating that payment for the exercise has been officially closed.
A statement issued by NAHCON’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Fatima Sanda Usara, also informed the public that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has closed the data-capturing window for the 2026 Hajj season.
The commission, however, said it has appealed to the Saudi authorities for an extension to enable Hajj operators in Nigeria to complete the capture of remaining pilgrims yet to be uploaded on the Nusuk Masar platform.
“The commission remains hopeful that the request will receive favourable consideration and assures the public that timely updates will be provided as soon as further communication is received.”
