Sadiq Umar Wins Player Of The Month Award In Spain
Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Sadiq Umar, has won the Player of the Month award for February 2022 in the Spanish second division.
The striker was fantastic for his club in February, contributing to seven goals (five goals and two assists) for his club side, Almeria in four league marches
The 25-year-old helped Almeria to four straight wins in the month, putting them in contention for promotion to the first division.
The former Partizan Belgrade hit man clinched the award at the expense of Huesca’s Jaime Seoane and Jose Corpar of SD Eibar.
He found the back of the net 20 times last season despite not starting the campaign with Almeria.
But he is hoping to surpass that tally this season after scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists in 25 league appearances so far this season.
Sadiq Umar made the list of Super Eagles players for the world cup play-off against Ghana later this month and Nigerians will be looking forward to seeing the striker repeating his fantastic form at the club side for the Super Eagles.
