16 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY FLAGS OFF  EXERCISE CROCODILE SMILE VI 

The 16 Brigade Nigerian Army Yenagoa on 19th November, 2020 flagged off Exercise Crocodile Smile VI in Army Super Camp Ema-Okenema in Ogbia local Government area of Bayelsa State, to curb all forms of criminal activities in the brigade Area of responsibility. In His address, the commander 16 brigade brigadier general ET Essien stated that" the exercise is aimed at checkmating security threats of cultism, kidnapping, armed robbery, illegal oil bunkering and other sundry crimes in the state. He added, that the Exercise will also involve civil-military cooperation activities in terms of sensitization and medical Outreach to selected host communities in order to assist the less privilege, foster synergy and cordial relationship.

In flagging off the exercise at the Army Super Camp Ema-Okenema, the special guest of honour, His Excellency the Executive governor of Bayelsa state senator Douye Diri who was represented by the deputy governor senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo applauded the Army for the professionalism it exhibited in maintaining peace, law and order in the state during the #Endsars protest.

In attendance of the event was the general officer commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army and Land Component commander Operation Delta Safe, major general JO Irefin and commanders of other security agencies.

Highlight of the event was the flag off of the exercise on Land and  water ways, presentation of souvenir and a group photograph.
