Not all Fulani are bad — Kanu

The leader of Igbo separatist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said in a Biafra Radio broadcast, that the country is ripe for a change, but said this change can't happen until Nigerians realize that their lives are currently meaningless.

Kanu also said the the general belief that all Fulanis are bad people, is wrong, because there are good ones who are also tired of the country and want to be free.

According to him, he has no issues with 'law-abiding Fulanis' who want to see their lives improved. He said, there's enough room to accommodate them in the struggle to salvage Nigerians from the claws of evil leaders who see them as nothing more than slaves.

“We are battling with the combination of hunger and starvation, with the double standard from the Yoruba media, the intimidation, the Fulani lootocracy, Fulani terrorism, the deception, photoshops, repressiveness, dictatorial tendencies from this regime and all their countless harassment,” Kanu said in the broadcast.

On the country's leadership, he said: “It doesn’t matter if they are PDP or APC, they are all the same, they have all failed you and will continue to fail you unless you upgrade your reasoning by a revolution which is needed now.

“Everywhere in the world, there was a revolution by the people, in Russia, America. I keep asking black people, at what point will you get to that point to stand up for your right.

“You can make your lives better by rising up and saying NO because as it stands now your lives are meaningless in Nigeria caused by your so-called leaders.

“To the law-abiding Fulani, I am not your enemy, IPOB is not your enemy, my enemies are the cabals holding you down.

“Those of you Fulanis’ that wants to see your lives to improve, we are here to help you to become free, let them not deceive you with oil and gas, soon oil will be useless,” Kanu stated.

The recent attack on herdsmen by the operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), founded by Kanu, might not send an encouraging message to Fulani, including those Kanu hoped would be a part of the struggle to salvage the country from bad leadership.

In a video shared by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, ESN operatives were seen burning houses and cows allegedly belonging to the herdsmen.

“Video of men at work last night across all the towns and villages of the old Bende Division, especially Isiukwuato,” Kanu captioned the video shared on his Facebook page.

“ESN has commenced the combing of parts of Isiukwuato forests last night and engagement with the enemy is ongoing and will continue until they no longer present a threat to our communities along that axis.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), South East zone, Alh. Gidado Sidikki, has said his group are in agreement with Governor Obiano's move to curb criminal activities by herdsmen in the South East, saying the leadership of Miyetti Allah in the South East zone under his watch, do screen prospective cattle herder who come into the region before such person would be allow to graze.

“My members have been having good relationship with their host communities, in spite of some isolated cases of misunderstanding, which is normal in every human existence.”

“Our interest in the zone is purely economic” he said, insisting that no herder was interested in contesting the ownership of land with members of their host communities.
