UK Armed Forces Minister impressed with Gambia security sector reforms
President Adama Barrow this afternoon received Hon. Mark Lancaster, United Kingdom Minister of the Armed Forces. They discussed the Gambia’s current reforms in the security sector, which is at the apex of President Barrow’s reform agenda.
The British Minister said he is impressed by the progress of the ongoing reforms, and gave assurance of UK’s support and collaboration to make the sector more responsive to democratic principles.
President Barrow expressed keenness on intensifying the the cooperation between the two countries, particularly, in the area of defence and security.
