MAMBILLA PLATEAU: Mallam Yakubu Mami, acting Mbundua (3rd class Chief) of Mbamnga Chiefdom is on a three days visit to Gembu.

The traditional leader in accompany of hundreds was received in Gembu town by thousands of jubilants over his appointment as the acting Mbundua of Mbamnga Chiefdom.

The reasons for the visit is to pay a homage to the paramount ruler of Mambilla, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II and a thank- you visit to those who contributed immensely in his emergence as the acting Mbundua of Mbamnga Chiefdom after the demised of Mr. Emmanuel Njiwah.

The acting Mbundua, Malam Yakubu Mami, equally seized the opportunity along side Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II with thousands of Muslim Ummah to observe the friday prayers yesterday in Gembu.

After the prayers, Chief Imam of Gembu, Mallam Tukur, led the Muslim Ummah in praying for Mallam Yakubu Mami's successful stawardship on the throne and for almighty God to grant him the wisedom, stamina and the Intelligence to unite and treat all sons and daughters of Mbamnga Chiefdom equally irrespective of tribal background, religion affiliations or geographical origin.

In his speech, during an interview, Mallam Yakubu Mami gave appreciations to almighty Allah and those who contributed one way or the other in making it possible for him to become the new Mbundua (3rd class Chief) of Mbamnga Chiefdom.

The acting Mbundua who addressed Dr. Shehu Audu Baju II, the paramount ruler of Mambilla as a father, promised to give loyalty 100%, be submissive and be respectful to the paramount ruler and the entire elders across the land.

As a Muslim, Mallam Yakubu Mami condemned tribalism (divisiveness) in totality, called it evil and sinister among Muslims, promised to fight over the menace that has eaten deep into the fabric of our society as result of rampaging activities of some power mongers, drunken, desperate, despraradoes and cankerwormic politicans whose political ideology and tactics strictly relied on tribalism and divisiveness of the vulnerable masses for their selfish interest.

Supporters of Malam Yakubu Mami in thousands across Gembu and it environs equally expressed joy over his emergence as the new Mbundua of Mbamnga Chiefdom, called it divine intervention by the almighty Allah in emancipations of Mbamnga Chiefdom which has potential of bringing an unstoppable revolution across the Chiefdom and the Mambilla plateau at large.
