Guinea:Kabèlè Camara refuses to recognize the results of the presidential election

The president of the Rassemblement guinéen pour le développement (RGD) party reiterated that he does not recognize the final results of the presidential election on 18 October.  Maitre Abdoul Kabèlè Camara assures us that the Constitutional Court has missed its appointment with the history of Guinea.

He says he is not surprised by the judgment handed down on Saturday, November 7 by the Constitutional Court, confirming Alpha Condé's victory in the presidential election.

“We did not appeal to the Constitutional Court because we knew that it would purely and simply validate the results published by the CENI.  We do not recognize these results and say that the Constitutional Court has missed its date with the history of our country, "said the former Minister of Security and Civil Protection.

He says the overwhelming majority of Guineans are opposed to Alpha Condé's retention in power.  ‘’ The Court participated in this constitutional coup by allowing Alpha Condé a third term.  The majority of Guineans are opposed to this third term, ’’ he added.

He denounces the failure to respect les ’the most basic rules of law in this country.  The country's interest must be above all else.  Alpha Condé should have left with his head held high, accepting the democratic alternation ".
