GADHOH Nursery and Basic cycles school for the deaf Brikama Jaminsa

The school was established in 2007 in one room at Brikama youth centre with only six (6) students.in 2008 to luck to have 3 room for rent in the heart of brikama after some years of struggled. Later the school lucky to meet  one foundation called “Foundation Buganala” from Holland who later brough6 a piece of land at Brikama Jamisa 26×25 . In 2009 the school move to premises and register more students from nursery 1 to 2 . Later in 2013 school upgraded to primary school and continued register tremendous success by providing quality education for the deaf living in the western coast region of the Gambia and beyoud .

Due to the reasons parents requested the school administration to upgrade to the basic cycles where students can learn from nursery to grade of in own area without facing difficulties.

As we speak now the school  registered one hundred and 40 students from nursery and to grade 8. In 2017 the school set National  assignments test example for grade students and come out with flying colours  
This year both teachers and students are preparing fully for grade 4 and 8 Nar exam. Tgis first time the school is registering for grade 8 Nat in January; 2020 basis cycles moved to old Jamisa Lover Basic school where is enough space and classrooms for students and staffs. 

One week back the schoo was lucky to have computers llab.Throught help of MRC Holland foundation.  The school board members thank the MRC for the great gesture. The school administration and board members vehemently thanks the foundation Bunganala for thier contributions towards the development of the deaf education. The school shill have constrains.
