Dalein gets angry: U ’UFDG considers the arbitrary arrest of its leaders a declaration of war’ ’

The vice-president of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG), Ibrahima Cherif Bah, was arrested on Wednesday 11 November at his home in Lambandji.  Cellou Dalein Diallo calls the arrest of his collaborator arbitrary.

The UFDG vice-president in charge of external relations was arrested.  His arrest follows the media release of prosecutor Sidy Souleymane Ndiaye announcing that socio-political actors are actively sought.

Cellou Dalein Diallo denounces the arrest of the former central bank governor.  "Following the statement from the prosecutor of November 10, UFDG vice-president Cherif Bah was kidnapped and taken to an unknown location," he said.

He said "the UFDG views the arbitrary arrest of its leaders as a declaration of war and reserves the right to respond with actions equal to the affront."
